Resources Reference
In addition to tools, the Kabuken MCP server exposes two MCP resources. Resources are static reference data you attach to a conversation as context, rather than actions the AI calls.
kabuken://companies/list
Section titled “kabuken://companies/list”Kabuken Company Directory
Full directory of Japanese listed companies tracked by Kabuken via EDINET. Includes bilingual (EN/JA) company names, EDINET entity codes, securities codes, and industry classification IDs.
MIME type: application/json
Attach this resource before asking questions about Japanese equities so the AI can resolve company names and codes without repeatedly calling search_companies.
kabuken://industries/taxonomy
Section titled “kabuken://industries/taxonomy”Kabuken Industry Taxonomy
Tokyo Stock Exchange industry classification taxonomy as used by EDINET/Kabuken: 34 industries with bilingual (EN/JA) names and category groupings.
MIME type: application/json
Use the industry_id values from this resource to filter or interpret results from the company directory, or as input to get_industry_overview.
Listing and reading resources
Section titled “Listing and reading resources”Resources are listed via the standard MCP resources/list JSON-RPC method and read via resources/read with a uri parameter.
Listing resources (resources/list) does not count against your daily API quota. Reading a resource’s contents (resources/read) does count against your quota, the same as a tool call.
See Tools Reference for the callable tools.
