Get API access

You can generate an API key directly from the Kabuken web app:

1. Log in to Kabuken and go to the Account page.
2. Find the MCP API keys section.
3. Click Generate Key.
4. Copy the key and store it somewhere safe.

Note

No paid plan is required to generate an API key. Every account starts on the BASIC MCP tier, which includes 50 requests per day, 6 free tools, and 3 free fact lookups per day for TOPIX-99 companies. See Tiers below for what each tier unlocks.

Caution

Keep your API key secret. Do not share it or commit it to public repositories. Anyone with your key can make requests on your behalf.

Using the key

A key is used as a bearer token. The tested way to use it is Claude Code:

INVESTOR and DEVELOPER have identical tool access; they differ only by daily quota. See Tools Reference for the full per-tool breakdown.

The daily request limit applies per account and resets at 00:00 UTC. The free fact allowance on BASIC (3 lookups per day, TOPIX-99 companies) is a separate counter and resets at 00:00 JST. get_account_quota does not count toward the daily request limit.

Rate limit headers

Each response includes headers showing your current usage:

When you exceed the daily request limit, the server returns HTTP 429 with Rate limit exceeded, the limit, and the reset time. Wait until the next reset or see the pricing page for tiers with a higher limit.
