Connect to your AI assistant

Kabuken works inside your AI assistant, so you can ask questions about Japanese listed companies in plain language. This page lists the setup paths that have been tested. Every path uses the same address:

https://kabuken.intellics.ai/mcp

You need a Kabuken account. The sign-in page offers Sign in with Google. It also has a “Sign in with email and password” link, which works only for accounts that Kabuken has set up for that method.

Kabuken is in the Claude connector directory. Choose one of two ways.

From the directory (recommended)

  1. Open Kabuken in the Claude directory. You can also search for Kabuken in the connector directory inside Claude, under Customize and Connectors.
  2. Select Connect.
  3. Sign in to Kabuken with Google, or with email and password. Then select Authorize.
  4. In a chat, click + at the bottom left of the chat box, then Connectors, and turn Kabuken on.

If you prefer to add it by address

  1. Open claude.ai or the Claude desktop app and sign in.
  2. Go to Customize, then Connectors.
  3. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  4. Enter a name (for example Kabuken) and the address https://kabuken.intellics.ai/mcp. Click Continue, keep the detected authentication settings, click Continue again, then click Add.
  5. A sign-in window opens. Sign in to Kabuken with Google, then select Authorize.
  6. In a chat, click + at the bottom left of the chat box, then Connectors, and turn Kabuken on.

Once Kabuken is added on the web or in the desktop app, it also appears in the Claude phone app (iPhone and Android) automatically. You do not need to set anything up on the phone.

If Claude answers from web search instead of Kabuken, type “Use Kabuken” in your question or turn web search off for that chat.

  1. Run this command in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http kabuken https://kabuken.intellics.ai/mcp
  2. Inside Claude Code, run /mcp, select kabuken, and sign in.

To use an API key instead of signing in, create a key on the Account page of the Kabuken app, then run:

claude mcp add --transport http kabuken https://kabuken.intellics.ai/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer <your API key>"

Replace <your API key> with your key. Keep it private. Anyone with your key can use your account.

ChatGPT on the web and on mobile. Coming after OpenAI’s review of the Kabuken app. The app was submitted on 2026-10-06.

Ask your assistant a question that needs company data, for example:

What were Toyota’s sales last year?

Other questions to try:

  • Show Honda’s revenue by business segment.
  • Who are the major shareholders of MUFG?
  • Compare Toyota and Honda on revenue and operating income.
  • What is Sony’s latest annual securities report?

A real answer from filing data means the connection works.

PlanRequests per dayTools
BASIC (default, free)506 free tools (search_companies, get_company, list_industries, get_risk_context, list_documents, get_account_quota); 6 fact tools within 3 lookups per day for TOPIX-99 companies; 4 tools need a paid tier
INVESTOR500All 16 tools
DEVELOPER1,000All 16 tools

See Tools Reference for the tool list per plan. The daily request limit resets at 00:00 UTC. The free fact allowance resets at 00:00 JST. Signing in and API keys use the same account and the same plan. Upgrading takes effect at once, with no need to reconnect.

The sign-in window does not open. Allow pop-ups for the site you are using (claude.ai or the Claude app) and try again. If it still does not open, remove the Kabuken connector, add it again, and use a different browser for the sign-in step.

Claude answers from web search and does not use Kabuken. Check that Kabuken is turned on under + > Connectors in the chat. Then say “Use Kabuken” in your question, or turn web search off.

A message says a tool is not available on your plan. Some tools need a paid plan. The message does not mean the connection is broken. See pricing for what each plan includes. After you upgrade, try again in the same chat.

An error says Rate limit exceeded or HTTP 429. You used all requests for the day on your plan (50 on BASIC). The limit resets at 00:00 UTC. Wait for the reset, or see pricing for plans with a higher limit. get_account_quota shows how many requests are left and does not count toward the limit.

A message says “Today’s allowance is used. It resets at 00:00 JST.” BASIC accounts can look up 3 facts per day for TOPIX-99 companies. The fact tools share this allowance. It resets at 00:00 JST. Other tools, such as search_companies, still work. See pricing for plans without this allowance.

A message says “Free accounts can look up facts for TOPIX-99 companies only.” The company you asked about is not in the TOPIX-99 set. Ask about a TOPIX-99 company, or see pricing for plans that cover all companies.

I cannot add another custom connector on the free Claude plan. The free Claude plan allows one custom connector. Remove one you do not use, or upgrade your Claude plan.

Kabuken stopped working after I signed out. Signing out can end the connection. In Claude, open Connectors, select Kabuken, and choose Connect (or remove it and add it again), then sign in again. In Claude Code, run /mcp and sign in again.
